The Past Two Days
Feb. 20th, 2006 05:46 pmSo what's been happening with me;
Everyone woke up late, baby and toddler as well, which was fun since I got to sleep some more in the morning, not that it made much difference since I caught a nap with Libby that afternoon.
The whole Regavim family and one Barron got ready for a day of shopping and museums (Except Rami, who went to the Uni in order to work)
Unfortunately it was Sunday and the shop Jade had planned to go to in the morning for some basic grocery shopping was closed, the only reason we went to that one was because it was close to the "Frankelin Benjamin Museum" ,which meant my face froze into a manic grin because of the hell-like cold that had covered Philadelphia yesterday, not snow, just an unbearable chill which seemed to permeate into my stomach. It was awful, the only one who didn't feel anything was the Pink Thing, because she was wrapped in her pink thing (she sweats like anything in it).
Once we had realized this, we quickly returned to the parking lot and drove to Trader Joe's a different grocery shop, not as close, but still close enough.
We drove to the Franklin institute (which is a wicked cool museum) and spent the rest on the morning and afternoon there.
Shvo and I explored the Aviation room and Train room (we didn't go on the train since the line was super long and both of us were starving, Rami made very nice sandwiches).
Then we came home and relaxed.
Note: Mummy, Grey's Anatomy is not a very good show.
Today everyone woke up late, which was both a good thing and a bad thing: Good thing - more sleep! Bad thing - the morning started late, which put Jade into a little bit of a bad mood, but that's okay, I'm very patient ;)
We went to the dollar shop around the corner and bought some stuff for, shampoo, conditioner and two boxes for my socks, bras and panties, which until now lived in the green suitcase.
We then drove a very long way (though it probably only seems long to me because I'm not used to the huge distances in America) to the American Helicopter Museum, which was loads of fun, because i recognized a lot of them from my service, Shvo sat in one of them and then spent the rest of the time in the play room, which I must say was very nice since he pretty much entertained himself. Jade has sitting on the other side of the museum and was feeding Libby.
We ate lunch, had a cookie or two at the free snack bar (everyone except Libby) and returned to the play room, saw a very boring movie about the functions of helicopters and started getting ready to leave.
We drove to Babies "R" Us, which is probably the most ginormous baby shop ever!!!!!
Bought some essentials for my future baby duty (bottle warmer and steriliser, plus some stuff for Jadie) and returned home, where I made myself a cup of coffee and wrote all this down.
Oh, and on Saturday we went for brunch, came back, stayed at home and watched an episode of Angel whilst eating Chinese Take away.
It's been a pretty good weekend and start of the week.
