Am back in the "Holy" land after a marvelous three weeks of holiday time.
Which I really needed.
London was wonderful (and expensive) as always.
Ireland was beyond my expectations (even if it was just a dip in the pond).

But I'm happy to be home and will be back to spamming all of yous like before :)

So I finished the book.

It was a good read.

And that's all there is to say at this point.

Today is my last full day in London (we returned on Thursday from Cork - again, thank you [livejournal.com profile] mizzpyx for your hospitality and general awesomeness) and I'm quite home sick by now, despite having the best holiday of my life I think. Tami is a wonderful traveling companion and we only had one or two, they can only be called, miss-communications which were dealt with by not talking to each other for about half an hour and then going back to normal.

Tomorrow night we're flying home.

Yesterday we sat in line for nine hours in total for the Seventh and last "Harry Potter" books. It rained so hard yesterday morning we dreaded leaving, but the storm quited and it was a very lovely afternoon, evening and night, with nary a drop of rain. Right now it's sunny and beautiful an we're just leaving to see London and read some more of the books while eating over priced cup cakes from Notting Hill.
Totally worth it.

I'm on page 221 now and it's all very exciting.

I'll probably next update when I'm back home, so thanks for hanging around and enjoying some of the ride around London and Ireland with me.
Pictures will be coming soon, so stick around.

Yesterday Tami and I arrived in Cork where we met with the very lovely person called [livejournal.com profile] mizzpyx who has been kind and generous enough to let us stay with her while we're in Cork.

Kilkenny (where we were at before coming to Cork) is quite small and filled with very nice medieval things, but we went through those quite quickly and it rained so that part was pretty much a bust.

Yesterday in Cork [livejournal.com profile] mizzpyx showed us around the very nice pedestrian walks of Cork near her house, took us to a great Veggie restraurant and to a home made chocolate shop. Yummy.
And we went with a bunch of her friends to see "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" which Tami and I thoroughly enjoyed.

Today we're going to Blarney (yes with the stone, which I'm going to kiss.

Yay, fun holiday.

And to IRL friends and family reading, I'm really missing all of you anf wish you could have come with me and had as much fun as I'm having now.

I know I haven't finished telling about all the English Adventures, but seeing that we're in Dublin, I feel it proper to start from beginning to end and I'll be as swift as I can, but you know it's never like that, being as verbose and loquacious as I am.

Today )

Yesterday )

Sunday )

Alton Towers of Saturday )

And that's been our holiday so far.
Pretty neat, huh?

Notes:
(1)More about the things I bought at the end of the trip... there's just too much!

Man, Tami and I have done so much in the past few days it's not even funny.
We're pretty pooped and we had a few planning mishaps but it all worked out for the best in the end.
This is also a shout out from Tami, since we knowthe same people :)
Oh, you wanted to know what's atually been going on, well: this is long... be patient )

Last night was the Tori Amos concert and it was amazing, we sat high up but that didn't matter because her energy, performance and singing were just out of this world, my throat is absoloutly raw, she performed some of my and Tami's favourite songs, I cried in one of them, she was so moving. Since it was the 4th of July (Independance Day) she wore an American Flag catsuit for her performance, it was hilarious and she played on two pianos (a grand and a keyboard) simultaniously.
She really is a wonderful performer.

She sang 14 songs (not in any order whatsoever):
Winter (I cried *sniff* and so did Tami, she perfromed alone on the grand, how could we not?!)
A Sorta Fairytale
Home on the Range (yes, where the buffalo roam)
Big Wheel
Yo George
Almost Rosey
Beauty of Speed
Code Red
Devils and Gods
Cornflake Girl
Liquid Diamonds
Cought a little sneeze
Sweet Dreams
Doghnut Shop

And performed two encores (another 4 songs):
Precious Things (my favourite song!!!)
God (another fave)
The Waitress ("I believe in Peace, BITCH!")
Hey Jupiter

The only thing I didn't understand was the reaction from the crowd, I mean, nobody (other than Tami and I) sang along, nobody moved to the music, nothing. Everyone was Frosty McFrost and some young girl who sat next to Tami asked her to be quiet!!!! because her singing along was distracting!!!!!!!
These are the people that invented Punk, Metal and Progressive Rock?!!!

Friends, the English (No offence to the English on my f-list or those reading, I'm sure you're as cool as can be) are such Putzes! We were getting looks for being enthusiastic at a rock concert, I mean, what the fuck?!

In any event, Tami and I put a bubble around us and Tori Amos and had a blast, when she performs again in Israel, I'm going and I'm going to sit in the front row.

We also had quite an adeventure on the way home where we took the Underground to King's Cross in order to catch the Night Bus back home to the London 'burbs. We really didn't think it would be so horribel because we checked everything online before we left. Well, the Internet lief and we ended up taking a Night Bus to Trafelgar Square where we still couldn't find the relevant bus back to our house (which is not in the middle of the street) and ended up taking a cab.
On the way we saw a sign for our bus number and got out paying so much money for a cab ride and when we got to the station we saw that our last bus had left at 10 minutes after midnight.
It was already nearly one a.m.
Yeah, fuck.
So we caught another cab and payed even more money to get home.
Which we did.
And then after collapsing onto our beds and sang and talked about Tori we died and were resurrected this morning.

Eariler Yesterday we went to Notting Hill and Portobello Road, I baought a few second hand comic books and Tami and I had some coffee and gourme cupcakes at the Hummingbird Cafe, then we went to the National Gallery (in order to escape the rain) and I almost tripped the alarm because I was enthusiastic about a painting and reached across the rope to show Tami something.

All in all the best day so far.

Am in England, with Tami.
London to be specific, staying at a cousin's house very close to a train station, so that enables us to get anywhere we want at great convinence.

Nothing really to update just wanting everyone to know I'm alive and well (so is Tami) and that I'll update when I get a chance, it's been a hectic time so far, with lots being done and still a whole lot to do.

I'm having a blast and am writing everything down in a *gasp* written journal.

I know primitive.

Love you all.

I'm logging out and hopefully I'll be able to update while I'm out of this lovely "Holy" Land and visiting "Eng" Land and "Ire" Land.

Bye.

Love you all.

I'll be back to normality and hopefully No War (given my track record I can't actually count on that) in three weeks.

Okay, Mel, do not freak out.
Tomorrow you're going on your own (with Tami) on Holiday - To England and Ireland.
Your Dream Country.
Calm down, calm, dawn, calm down!

How the hell can I calm down when I'm so excited!

All the places and things that needed booking, are booked.
Now I need to get off my ass and get all the last minute things done.

Okay, Mel, do not freak out.

*squeeeeeeeeee*

*coughcoughcough* Sorry, but my hands are literally shaking and I still don't know what book to bring with to read on the plane!
Fuck I still need to actually pack all the clothes I'm going to bring with me (though that is always left for last minute in this family, I mean I still need to wear clothes, right?).

- I finished the editing and translation job, but only managed to send it to the boss at around 12:30 (that would be Thursday night, but technically Friday morning). in the morning. Aaaaaargh, bad Internet connection, but, *shrug* at least it is done!

- Woke up late and had a leisurely morning until I met up with Tami ([livejournal.com profile] tamara_russo) and we bought the tickets for London!!!!!!!! Tori Amos here we come and we'll be heading to Ireland for a couple of weeks as well, finally, my Dream Holiday.

*squeeeeee* I'm so excited!

- We then drove (she drove, I just sat next to her) to her place, where I had entertaining conversation with her family, her dogs and then we watched three episodes of "House" Season 3, all excellent episodes (one of them had a baby, so predictably, I cried like one as well. Tami laughed and pointed and called me "Softie", can't argue with that... she's also going to make fun of me for the rest of my life and try and get me to cry again by reminding me of the episode).

- We watched "Thelma & Louise". Susan and Gina rock so hard it hurts. Ridley Scott is a wonderful director.

- She drove me home, we talked a little (Girl, you gotta relax ;-D) and we said goodbye. We're probably going to be meeting tomorrow in Tel-Aviv.

- I then met up with Kali and Reut, whom I hadn't sen since before Pesach, whew that's a long time and Shimirt, who I was supposed to meet last weekends, but ended up working instead.
It was a good Friday day and night.

V and Justice

V: Ah, I was forgetting that we are not properly introduced. I do not have a name. You can call me V. Madam Justice...this is V. V... this is Madam Justice. hello, Madam Justice.

Justice: Good evening, V.

V: There. Now we know each other. Actually, I've been a fan of yours for quite some time. Oh, I know what you're thinking...

Justice: The poor boy has a crush on me...an adolescent fatuation.

V: I beg your pardon, Madam. It isn't like that at all. I've long admired you...albeit only from a distance. I used to stare at you from the streets below when I was a child. I'd say to my father, "Who is that lady?" And he'd say "That's Madam Justice." And I'd say "Isn't she pretty."

V: Please don't think it was merely physical. I know you're not that sort of girl. No, I loved you as a person. As an ideal.

Justice: What? V! For shame! You have betrayed me for some harlot, some vain and pouting hussy with painted lips and a knowing smile!

V: I, Madam? I beg to differ! It was your infidelity that drove me to her arms!

V: Ah-ha! That surprised you, didn't it? You thought I didn't know about your little fling. But I do. I know everything! Frankly, I wasn't surprised when I found out. You always did have an eye for a man in uniform.

Justice: Uniform? Why I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about. It was always you, V. You were the only one...

V: Liar! Slut! Whore! Deny that you let him have his way with you, him with his armbands and jackboots!

V: Well? Cat got your tongue? I though as much.

V: Very well. So you stand revealed at last. you are no longer my justice. You are his justice now. You have bedded another.

Justice: Sob! Choke! Wh-who is she, V? What is her name?

V: Her name is Anarchy. And she has taught me more as a mistress than you ever did! She has taught me that justice is meaningless without freedom. She is honest. She makes no promises and breaks none. Unlike you, Jezebel. I used to wonder why you could never look me in the eye. Now I know. So good bye, dear lady. I would be saddened by our parting even now, save that you are no longer the woman I once loved.

*KABOOM!*
