Happy Holiday!
Jun. 12th, 2009 09:12 amOff to Pride with [Southern!Girl] in Tel-Aviv!
It's going to be hot like hell and I'll probably be lobster-esque when I get back.
However, it'll be awesome!
Talk to y'all later!
Oh, and here's a meme:
The problem with Livejournal is that we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. Hence, I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Then post this in your LJ (if you want to) and find out what people don’t know about you.

Date: 2009-06-12 07:32 pm (UTC)I'm a coffee person down to my marrow. [Southern!Girl] calls me "Ianto".

Date: 2009-06-12 09:00 am (UTC)Here is a question to you: What country would you like to travel the most and why?

Date: 2009-06-12 07:35 pm (UTC)Hmm, there are two answers for that. I'd love to return to Ireland as it's possibly one of the most magnificent places I've ever been and I long to return. I'd really like to visit India, as it's a place I've never been and have only heard good things about it :)

Date: 2009-06-12 11:14 am (UTC)In question with the day, my question is: when did you realize that you were queer, or did you always know?

Date: 2009-06-12 07:44 pm (UTC)Wow, you don't ask the simple ones do you :P
It's a complicated answer, seeing as your question itself is complicated. Well, the moment I realised I had a sexuality (approx. 12-13) I figured I wasn't exactly the same as those around me. This was compounded with the fact that I was a bit of a loner geek who did her best not to stand out. The feeling of being different began long before, but I can't say for sure if it had to do with my child version of sexuality or not. I recall never minding playing the "boy" parts in games, considering that at the ages of five and a bit more everything seemed to be a game to me.
When I was eight or nine I had a friend, who looking back on, I think I was in love with but the details are fuzzy by this point. I hung around her, hugged and kissed her and a boy in our class called me a "Lesbian" which I had no idea what that was, so when I asked him to clarify he said it was a girl who liked other girls.
Which baffled me... obviously girls liked other girls... right?
Anyway, I came to the conclusion that I wasn't straight when I was about 13 and found my label when I was about 14, that is Bisexaul, but when I was 16 I discovered other people who were like me and I thought "Queer" was the best thing ever :D
In a nut shell, I think I've always been queer, but it took a long time to articulate.
Good answer?

Date: 2009-06-12 12:23 pm (UTC)Okay: do you have any idea if you'll stay in Israel, or are you one of those Israelis who would rather fancy moving to Canada/US/Europe, if circumstances permitted?

Date: 2009-06-12 07:50 pm (UTC)I'm one of those Israelis who would like to live a time abroad and then return. I can't see myself leaving this place forever. This is very much my home, but I think that if I get the chance I'd like to live in other places, be a bit of a wonderer. I'd like to live in the UK and/or Ireland, I'm very much an anglo and eire-phile at heart. But Canada and certain parts of the US look to be awesome as well.
