Apr. 20th, 2006 07:30 pmIt seems that I haven't actually had anything of substance to update with lately except the inanities of my life in America; it seems I am currently in a weird limbo of "finally comfy" and "home sickness".
It helped a ton that Mummy stayed over Pesach, it was really fun to have a piece from home and that she took a bunch of the brunt off Jade and I.
After she left there didn't seem to be anything really different, except that she was gone.
While she was here I didn't really think about the fact that I hadn't seen her in two months... or any of my friends either.
Hence the homesickness.
On the other hand, having her here, I actually managed to prove (to her as well as to myself) that I could do something greater than myself and that I was actually a damn good caretaker - yes, I still want to be child-free, being a nanny has not changed that - and that I really can accomplish anything If I so desire.
So, Haza! on that.
My comic book obsession (and collection) seems to have expanded in the two months of being here - at home, all I had were all of "Sandman" + Dream Hunter + one Death book + Endless Nights and a few stand alone comic books consisting of Batman, Buffy and assorted. Not the worst, but certainly spare.
I now have;
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies
Chasing Dogma
Batman: Hush I and Hush II
V for Vendetta
and
Watchmen.
Plus
aesiron sent me his "Superheroes and Philosophy: Truth, Justice and the Socratic Way" book.
My Amazon cry of joy (resembling Xena'a battle cry): Lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala!
And Haza! on that as well.
