About me: I'm 24, I'm British but I'm living in Norway and studying Arabic (and Hebrew soon). I'm not Jewish but I'm interested in Jewish stuff generally. I'm also interested in the Israel-Palestine conflict but then so are a lot of people. My real life name is Rachel. I...weird enough...used to be a Pagan (not a Witch as such, I know a lot of them though!) but now I'd class myself as agnostic/atheist.

I found your LJ through "WeFeelFine.org" and appreciate your commentary on the gaza conflict.

I just wanted to comment with a bit of insight you might take to mind. I'm on vacation in my smallish midwest hometown, and anytime someone brings up Israel, there's generally a sigh or a head nod to dismiss the topic - it's frustrating and sad just to a degree that the Americans around me don't really want to hear about it. We've got lots of problems here, you may have heard ;)

but I am glad that there are people like you dedicated to topics so that people like me can find interesting anecdotes and perspectives that aren't funneled through the mainstream.

and you should check out wefeelfine. lovely thing to do at 2 in the morning.

I like the material that you write, and I think it's a unique perspective. I have read some of your material in free_palestine and some of your stuff on this blog, and I wouldn't mind adding you. I think I should point out a few things if you're interested:

• I am a bit of a troll, and that comes with the weird personality that I have. I don't flame or insult people unless they really deserve it. If I say something that doesn't sound right, then it's probably sarcasm.
  
• I don't like the current state of the Israeli government, but I also like looking for people who can provide a fresh perspective on what I'm seeing. I like it when people disagree with me, and I'm not an LJer who simply deletes & bans people because they disagree with him.
  
• We seem to have very similar political views, although I'm extremely anti-government as a rule of thumb.

If that sounds okay to you, then I'd love to add ya to my friends list.
