Date: 2007-11-12 05:13 pm (UTC)i didnt have much hope for annapolis. i hate to say it because i love to be optomistic but it just doesnt seem like any factors for this working out are there. i feel like it will only aggrivate matters... the west bank and gaza are separate entities, abbas is screwed if he makes a deal, i dont think olmert has much ability to do anything or is willing to do what needs to be done. i think the settlers need to go or the IDF needs to stop protecting them... that would be an amazing first step. from my limited perspective, that would alleviate a lot of the tension in the west bank...
i could be wrong.

Date: 2007-11-12 09:29 pm (UTC)There really is no hope for any peace agreement if the two Palestinian factions don't resolve their civil war, which is spurred on by the Occupation, which won't end until Hamas and Fatah stop trying to kill people and so on.
