Okay, so where was I... oh, yes crying over the fact that I was a moron and didn't tell Sam Waterston that I loved him.
After we left the Met we phoned Rachel's friend Ellie with whom we arranged to meet at the Natural History Museum later in the afternoon... can we say mistake.
We went to the New York Public Library, which I would love to go back to when the weather is a little nicer and I'm not wearing a coat, because in order to go to where the books are you have to check in your things, I mean "duh" that's what you do at the library anyway. There different departments and it was so quiet I felt compelled to whisper very low, I'm not sure if Rachel heard me talk to her at all.
And, as an absolute tourist, I rode on the lions and flashed back to Venice where I rode a lion as well; yes there is a picture and it will be posted with the rest of them once they're uploaded.
At around four (we were pooped!) Ellie phoned and told us she was at the Natural History Museum. So we went back to Grand Central Station (yes, there's a pic) and rode to Times Square (ugh!) in order to catch the train to the Museum. Lucky us the train arrived very quickly... yeah, we were in Queens when we (Rachel) realized we were going in the wrong direction, so we waited half an hour of our time, I thought it was funny (except that Ellie was waiting for us in the cold :( )
So by the time we arrived at the museum it was closing.
What kind of a museum closes at 17:45 on a Saturday!?
Anyhow, it was great fun just spending time and talking to Rachel and Ellie, it's fun being with people closer to my own age you know, not over thirty or under five :D, well that's not really the point, the point would be just being away in New York doing my own thing with people I was really happy to spend time with.
I had this longing for my friends throughout the day... I really miss them.
After that we returned to Rachel's dorms to eat (at a diner like place near her place) and get ready to go to a club called Nation. We had to return to Time Square (again *sigh*), but we arrived at the club and I got in because the bouncer was just not going to try and decipher my driver's license, I didn't even talk, Rachel just said I was Israeli and he said "Oh, Israeli, yeah you can go in", so I'm like "Yes!".
So I took the opportunity and ordered a Cosmo... $10... a wee bit too much.
But the atmosphere of the whole place was nice and there were so many different kinds of women, lot's of andro's and boi's, no stone-butches that I noticed and quite a few femmes. And there was one other girl with the same hair cut as me, so I felt camaraderie there :)
I unfortunately felt a little queasy (most likely from the supper from the diner) but luckily it passed with no disaster.
We got back to the dorms at around one-ish(?) and again, talked 'till four in the morning.
I slept like the dead and woke up refreshed but in need of sustenance.
Since we all got up around ten and both Rachel and Ellie had other things to do, we opted to get a late breakfast at a very nice cafe called "Fresh" just across the street from Rachel's place, we were done by 12:00, we said our "goodbyes" and "we'll meet agains".
I got on the Subway which I have now deciphered and arrived in Chinatown just before the bus took off, so there was no waiting.
Got back to Philly at three and Jade picked me up from Center City.
And since then I've been home.
Good Weekend!
Have a good week y'all!!
