Books and Babies
Jun. 7th, 2007 12:14 pmThis post has been cut out of fear that it will bore my f-list to death and no one will want to read me ever again.
Just call me Marvin.
It's book week and I've only bought two books.
Two.
Something must have been wrong with me last night.
Well, there's always today to make up for it.
Though the increasing problem of space is worrisome, I'm already double layered and it looked like I'll going to need to start decking the books one on top of the other which is not good!
I went with Shimrit and she bought many more books than me and it looks like I'll be buying the same she bought, ugh, I hate borrowing books because they stay with me for a long time because I read so many more books before the ones I actually borrowed, not to mention that I like owning the books I read. My room is steadily becoming more of a library than a boudoir.
Looks like my eight or so DVD's will have to be put in the closet so that I can stack my books on the bottom most shelf which is floor level, which Wish (the cat) likes to sniffle around which doesn't encourage me to put books there.
Once I've actually bought everything I'm going to buy this year I'll let y'all know, but they're most likely to be all original Israeli books since it's Hebrew Book Week and I dislike buying translations if I can read the language they were written in originally.
I'm taking care of my cousin of one-million-degrees and he's asleep. Yayness. His mother and I agreed that me coming over to their house would be better since on Tuesday it was a disaster, so I'm in Ra'anana, where they live, happily surfing the web while the babykins sleep (or plays, or poops, or drools). This evening I'll just be babysitting, hopefully no actual changing, feeding etc, will be necessary.
Double baby-duty.
Arrgh.
And tomorrow as well, from eight in the morning till noon, I know it doesn't seem like a long time, but babies are people and as such unpredictable, routines are an illusion that babies plant in their care takers mind so that we imagine we are in control, but in fact we are controlled by these people-in-potential and must follow their decree lest we perish.
Yeah, I'm tired and comparing regular infants to nefarious Midwich Cookoos (A book by John Wyndam and the basis of that creeeeeeepy movie "Village of the Damned". Both are excellent).
In addition, the genocide in Darfur must be stopped.
וכמו כן, צריך לעצור את רצח העם בדרפור.
