1. What's a recent achievement you're proud of? Opening up a bit more at work and actually socializing. I've had at least three or four different people tell me that I've been noticeably more affable lately.
2. What's the last good book you read? I'm actually embarassed to admit this, but Alas Babylon probably four or five months ago.
3. Who are some of your favorite authors? Peter David, Harry Turtledove, Neil Gaiman, and Jared Diamond
4. Who are some of your favorite bands or musicians? K's Choice, Sarah Bettens, Sarah Fimm, Tegan and Sara, The Beatles, Tool, VAST, Vienna Teng, Regina Spektor, and Pretty Balanced.
5. Do you know how to play any musical instruments? I can't even sing very well.
6. If you were given $10,000 dollars today, what would you do with it? Put it in a savings account until I was ready to talk to an accountant about investing.
7. If you could live in any building you wanted, what kind of building would you want to live in? A manor house, I guess. With lots of smaller houses all around for any friends and family that wanted to live there as well.
8. What are some of your favorite plants? Easter lillies, weeping willows, and various cabbage cultivars.
9. When you were a kid, what future did you imagine for yourself? The stereotypical American Dream. A wife, 2.5 kids, a cat, a dog, and a white picket fence.
10. What's something that you're hoping will happen to you soon? Sex would be nice.

11. What's a great thing that happened to you once? Conceivement.
12. What color is your bedspread? Maroon, when I actually have one
13. Do you know how to sew, embroider, knit, crochet, cross-stitch, or latch-hook? No, no, no, no, no, and no.
14. If you could make your own clothes or ask someone else to make them for you, what's something you'd like that's hard to find in stores? I'm not very clothes oriented.
15. Have you ever done any woodworking? No.
16. Can you speak any languages other than English? Nope.
17. What are some of your favorite foods? Broccoli, cabbage, sushi, popcorn, burgers, and salad. I've also been eating lots of coleslaw lately.
18. What are some of your favorite beverages? Diet soda, tea, various fruit juices, wheat beers, rum, tequila, and jagermeister.
19. What species would you most like to have as a pet? I've been mesmerized by tigers since childhood.
20. Do you have any pets? I have a cat, share a second one, and my stepdad has a dog.

21. When did you last ride a bike? 2004? I bought one to ride to work in Oregon and then it broke so I had to walk again, leading directly to me breaking my leg.

23. If you've been to college, what was your major; if you haven't been, what would your major be if you went now? Anthropology or a related degree would be pretty nifty, if mostly decorative.
24. What's a major that probably doesn't currently exist, but that you'd like to see added to a college curriculum? Xenoanthropology.
25. What are your favorite websites to spend time on, other than LiveJournal? last.fm, boards.straightdope.com, deviantart.com, wikipedia.org, and youtube.com
26. What are your favorite things to do at home, other than use the Internet? Watch DVDs, read, eat, sleep, and wank.
27 What's your favorite place to go, away from home? My friend Mike's house, I guess. God knows I'm over there all the time, anymore.
28. What's the best pastime you've ever invented yourself? I'm sure I've invented pastimes but I don't remember any.
29. If you meet me in person (or if we've already met, then if we meet again), what should we do together? Wander around, seeing the sights of wherever we are, while talking the day away. Then spend the night watching DVDs.
30. If you were stuck in an elevator with me, what would you do? I really liked your answer to this so I'm stealing it.
31. Are you more of a pessimist or an optimist? Pessimist.
32. Do you believe in any supernatural phenomena? Nope.
33. What do you like most about your body? I am fascinated by the muscles and tendons that ripple in my arms when I tense them. I also have pretty fantastic hair if all the compliments I've gotten lately are any indication.
34. What do you like most about your mind? I'm not dumb.
35. What's one pet peeve of yours? Self-styled know-it-alls that actuall know very little or nothing at all. I live with one, work with another, and socialize with a third. They're all nice guys but I get eye strain any time I'm in extended conversation with any of them.
36. If you wanted to change one thing about your personality, what might it be? I wish I were more confident. Or less lazy. It's a toss-up.
37. Tell me one weird fact about you. I like eating still frozen food that's supposed to be cooked before consumption.

starting to finally *write* something in my LJ other then memes(hint, hint:).

2. What's the last good book you read?
"Blindsight" by Peter Watts- extremely dark and disturbing sf, but very,very good.He even gave citations for the sources that made him think of specific aspects in the world he built!

3. Who are some of your favorite authors?
חגי אברבוך, Spider Robinson, early Heinlin(although the late can also be fun read), John Varley, Tim Powers, Neil Gaiman.Notice a trend?:)

Heather Alexander (http://www.heatherlands.com/), Leslie Fish, Echo's Children (http://www.echoschildren.org), ירוק עד,Julia Ecklar, Harry Chapin.

6. If you were given $10,000 dollars today, what would you do with it?
Probably invest them through my bank, and use some to go to next WorldCon and/or DragonCon

I'm not sure- do you mean apartments vs. villa or architectonic style?

Spearmint, Geranium, Cyclamen(רקפת), Pine if you add trees.

Writer, and later scientist

10. What's something that you're hoping will happen to you soon?
Finding a girlefriend.

The first time I went to a Con(the first Fantasycon).Until that time I wasn't even aware of fandom existing in Israel.

No, nothing beyond buttons.

Full middle ages garb inc. chainmail, and/or a suit like the suit Arucard from "Hellsing" has(the last one simply because I wanna cosplay him:)

15. Have you ever done any woodworking?
Not beyond some very basic things in highschool where it was mandatory.I hated it.

16. Can you speak any languages other than English?
Hebrew, of course, nothing other then that.

17. What are some of your favorite foods?
Chocolate, grilled steak, grilled fish, my father's pizza, onion soup(homemade- not the instant crap), קלמנטינות.

18. What are some of your favorite beverages?
Citrus fruit juice, really rich cocoa, various teas, water.I also drink Coke during Cons for the caffeine/sugar combination.

19. What species would you most like to have as a pet?Caaaaat

20. Do you have any pets?
No, unfortunately my landlord doesn't allow any, and my mother has a really sensitive nose, so I never had any.

I'm currently majoring in Neural Sciences:)

Inventorship- how to look at various bits and pieces of knowledge and come up with something really useful that uses them and/or see where the missing piece is and what's the simplest way to get it.

Tapuz(several forums), האייל הקורא, the Ort Sf forum.Believe me, that's more then enough to fill my spare time.

26. What are your favorite things to do at home, other than use the Internet?
Read and play strategy computer games.

Friends' homes:).And Cons.Definitely Cons.

Imaginary conversations with book characters:)

I don't know, talk?I like talking with friends, probably because I'm so shy RL- I overcompensate when I'm around people I feel I can trust.

Probably try discuss a book and/or writer we both read, unless I'm on my way to something important- then I'd simply get stressed.

31. Are you more of a pessimist or an optimist?Depends on my mood.

32. Do you believe in any supernatural phenomena?
No, at least not until somebody gives me more concrete empirical evidence for them.

33. What do you like most about your body?
The fact it listens to me:)

Pattern matching- it gets that gestalt of experiences and knowledge and then I sometimes simply feel the "form" of the problem and the solution.

35. What's one pet peeve of yours?Religious fanatics.

36. If you wanted to change one thing about your personality, what might it be?
probably my tendency to procrastinate at the drop of a hat, but I hesitate changing anything- who knows what differences it would make to the whole?

2. Latest good book: HP and the OotP. Finished it last night.

5. Sadly no, I can't play any instrument. I used to play the piano, but that was years ago.
