A Brand New TV Obsession
Mar. 5th, 2007 11:47 pmOver the years there have been a few shows I felt I had to see - Buffy, Angel (simply because it's the spinn-off), The West Wing (which was my saving grace for the months it was re-run and is now re-running again), House (which
morin is awesome enough to download to DVD for me).
I know I really love a show or any other entertainment medium - since I also read Harry Potter fic, yeah I know I'm a pathetic, sad, geek girl - when I actively seek out fanfiction, which I've been reading steadily for quite some time now, eight years I believe.
Today I got a double dose of my TV Boyfriend, who is not to be confused with my Tv Girlfriend. I also have a Movie Boyfriend and Movie Girlfriend... Did I mention I was pathetic.
*shakes head* Anyway, double dose, yes. Today I saw an episode of the West Wing, first season, it was great, despite seeing the episode like five hundred thousand times (not to worry, I've seen every Buffy episode more), it was still fresh, slick and oh so gooood.
Josh Lyman, played by the aforementioned TV Boyfriend, is probably one of the sexiest characters to have ever graced my television screen, he was so young then, in his late thirties and hair which wasn't, you know, receding as though chased by an angry bear (though since his hair is so thick and he keeps it at a reasonable length it doesn't look like he's balding).
Tonight I saw the pilot to Studio 60, where TV Boyfriend looks much the same only with less hair and more lines on his face... yes he's in his mid-forties. And still sexy.
My brand new TV obsession is Danny Tripp.
I'm itching to read fic.
Itching.
But then I will be spoiled and watching the show will lose part of its charm.
Damnit!
I hate living in a place where the Internet is six months ahead of me, but real life is lagging behind.
I apologize for the incoherency of this post, I am still basking in the delight of the Sorkin, which resembles the loveliness of the Joss and is on the level with the genius of the Gaiman.
Yes, there will be fan posts... about House and TV Girlfriend as well.

Date: 2007-03-05 10:26 pm (UTC)Oh, so fun for you! Though I must say that in a certain way Neil Gaiman reminds me of Rickman, the whole big nosed, sarcastic English thing, ya know :)
