Volunteering
Nov. 20th, 2006 11:44 amDue to my lack of actually doing anything productive (other than trying to write something, though everything that's coming out is just bad, bad, bad) I've decided to volunteer at Hoshen (English version here).
I'm not the volunteering type, at least I used to be, I always found it such a waste of time, mostly my mother's, since she's the volunteering type and she never seemed satisfied by what she was volunteering in.
It's only lately that I've come to understand why it really is beneficial to give some of your free time for, well, free it means you really have to give something of yourself to an idea you believe in, or at least an idea you feel has merit and want to advance.
I got an email back from them and they should be contacting me over the next few days to see if I'm even compatible to be a volunteer with them, since there are few volunteers in Hoshen.
Wish me luck :)
