#1 The father-son relationship between Bruce and Dick, they have their arguments and disagreement, but they will always love each other..

#2 Alfred Pennyworth, he's probably one of the strongest willed characters in the DCU and how he hasn't slapped Bruce Wayne silly yet I'll never understand.

#3 The Batmobile, the Batcave, Wayne manor, the Batarangs and the other Bat-gadgets.

#4 Ummm, heh, Batman.

#5 Catwoman's costume with infra red goggles, combat boots (no heals!!!) and grab claws.

#6 Selena's wise cracks, sense of humour, acrobatic abilities and her general cattiness. Oh, and she's an environmentalist to boot and likes to steal things with cat motifs. She has excellent taste.

#7 Ummm, heh, Catwoman.

#8 Batman and Catwoman together, as a team, as a couple, you name it, my fave canon ship.

#9 That the all seeing Oracle is Barbara Gordon and that she's invaluable to almost all the technology based heroes in the DCU. Go Babs!

#10 Peter Parker being a geek.

#11 The Phoenix.

#12 Jean Grey as the Phoenix.

#13 Wolverine's and Nightcrawler's offbeat relationship.

#14 Nightcrawler's faith in humanity despite everything he's been through.

#15 That despite Cyclops being a tight ass and Wolverine a loose canon they still manage to work well as a team, even if they don't like admitting it.

#16 I like brand new continuities that you can start from the beginning and get to know the same characters in a different way.

#17 Gail Simone.

#18 Elseworlds and Alternate Universes.

#19 Crossovers, the funniest one I ever read was when Batman has to team up with Spiderman in New York. It was awesome.

#20 That characters die and are remembered (some of the time).

#21 Mystique.

#23 Rougue, despite being all screwed up with one of the most emotionally debilitating powers is one the physically strongest Mutants in Marvel.

#24 Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman working together.

#25 When Superman's superiority is brought into question.

#26 Lois Lane is the toughest non-superhero in all the universes!

#27 That despite being enemies Xavier and Magneto can still remember the good times they had as friends.

#28 Pioter Rasputin's gentleness.

#29 Poison Ivy's total genius! She's a botanist and look what she managed to do, she's a genius, absolute genius!

#30 Batman's cowl and cape.

#31 Big Barda's armor, helmet, kick assery and that fact that she's a total Valkyrie :)

#32 Big Barda being the tallest heroine in the DCU.

#34 Joss Whedon.

#35 The fact that for almost 70 years no one at the Daily Planet (other than Lois to whom he is married) figured out that Clark Kent is Superman.

#36 That Martha Kent made Superman's costume for him.

#37 Both Batman's and Superman's mothers were names Martha. Now I don't know if that was intentional or not, but it always makes the friendship between the two (and there is!) seem more like a brotherhood.

#38 That Oliver Queen a.k.a Green Arrow is a Socialist.

#39 Black Canary's sonic voice... and fishnets.

#40 I like the fact that the costumes are skin tight and sexy (I like sexy) on both the heroes and the heroines.

#41 Biran K. Vaughn.

#42 I like thinking up logical explanations for obvious continuity mishaps.

#43 Writing meta articles and trying to blend the issues in the books to real life.

#44 That not everything the Heroes do is automatically Ethical.

#45 That not everything the Villains do is automatically Unethical.

#46 Harlene Quinzel a.k.a Harley Quinn is a Psychiatrist and certified Psycho... And knows how to do cartwheels and simultaneously kick someone unconscious.

#47 The way Superman poses (with his arms crossed across his chest, cape billowing in the wind, his black curl in the middle of his forehead, etc.).

#48 That despite being the Lone Wolves of each universe, both Bruce and Logan have a network of friends and surrogate family, that despite them taking it for granted at times, never forget how much they mean to them.

#49 That science, technology, magic and metaphysics go together with no doubt in anyones mind that it actually works! Except sometimes, but those are quickly put away so that the plan may work.

#50 The Gods are real.

Harley Quinn is inherently awesome in just about every way (except, I've heard, in her own comic).

I love how Marvel is only just now tackling the obscene numbers of superheroes in NY. It makes one wonder why supervillains, much less ordinary criminals, ever went anywhere near the Big Apple.

I also have to wonder when DC is gonna realize that more than a third of their heroes now live in or near Metropolis and Gotham, which judging by the stories are not that far apart.
