I was looking at fandomsecrets and someone made a secret, probably in reaction to the renewed bruhaha in Torchwood Fandom.

I got really chocked up reading it.

As a good friend said to me when I showed 'em this secret:
It's amazing how people don't realize that by freaking out about CoE/Ianto they're actually policing queerness, not "championing" it.

All I can say to that is "YES".

As I wrote, no one should police queerness, there isn't one way to be queer!

I'll say what I wrote above in a comments above:
Self identification is an important thing and it's hard when there's no word for what you are, or when words that exist don't sit well with you, but do kind of fit.

Little boxes are little prisons.

I wish saying "I'm just me" was enough in this world. One day...
