According to this asshole, people who are not his definition of "normality" should not have children.
This kind of man will also be, in all probability, an anti-choice, racist, misogynist!
Why?
Because to make a point, using the parents sexuality, as a criteria for bad parenting is bullshit.
More than that, it's big pile of bullshit, guano and horse shit all dumped together in a wasteland!
Why?
Because sexual orientation is the last thing parents are concerned with when it comes to children, and I feel I can speak openly about this since at the moment I am, while not the parents, certainly a major care-giver in my sister's family at the moment.
A parents sexual oritentation is not an issue, children under a certain age, are really not concerned with what their parents do between the sheets.
They are concerned with being fed, cleaned, given presents and being secure in the knowledge that their parental units love them and want them.

If this man is so concerned with the well-fare of "teh baybeez" he should try to figure out how to help the unwanted children.
The child that was a mistake, an accident.
The child that the mother really doesn't want for various of reasons... reasons that are no body's fucking business other than hers!
The tragedy of modern culture is not who will raise the children, but how.
I'd much rather have every lesbian woman and gay conceive or adopt a child of their own, than see a mother who doesn't want a child, raise it because effing society told her "you spread your legs, now pop that that fetus out and take care of 'till the day you die".

Yeah, it's an issue I care about.
And that goddamn infuriated me!

I am very liberal and an advocate for GLBTQ issues plus women's issues. Childbirth is a way of keeping women under control. Fear is an excellent tool of conservatives and they use it well. Since you are in the United Stated pick up a copy of Howard Zinn's book "A People's History of the United States." He updates it on a regular basis and I think it would give you a good honest history of United States. With information from this book you will have intellectual facts to just blow most conservative arguments away. Practically every American who has graduated from High School has had courses in American History. Most of the textbooks used in those courses are littered with lies to perpetuate the American Myth. Now don't get me wrong, I love this country but we need to be honest to have a secure future. BTW thanks for making me a friend on your live journal. Your haircut got my attention but your beautiful brain will keep it. Thanks for your rant.

Many gay/lesbian couples are much, much better parents than some straight couples are. They are more loving, devoted, and because of all they've had to go through to have children (i.e. adoption), they cherish their children that much more. As opposed to, let's say, a straight couple where the woman just got knocked up and they had kid after kid.

The preventing gay couples from adopting thing just seems like a cruel trick of Fate.
