I bought a pocket watch over at eBay.

Well, my brother paid for it, but I'm going to pay him back, so I bought it.

It cost less than ten bucks.

It's a stainless steel mirror cover 12/24 hour pocket watch, you can see it here, with a couple of pic






You know why I wanted it?

For anyone not getting the point, that is a Time Lord's Chameleon Arch and now I shall have one of my own!
I realise this is the first step towards cosplaying...

Since I am considerably shorter than Tom Baker, my gf made mine to scale. XD

Today at the con I saw a 10th Doctor with a girl dressed as a Sexy Dalek and another dressed as a Sexy Tardis, which have to be the most impressive accessories I've seen a Doctor with so far. XD

This is totally awesome.

I have a trenchcoat, and I'll admit sometimes I run around Manhattan in it mentally going "hallo, I'm The Doctor" in a bad Tennant accent. secret!cosplay FTW.

I have a trench coat too, but it's so femmy I usually pretend to be Supergirl in disguise or something. 'Cause it's red.
Sometimes I pretend to be Batman...

Awesome! (And imo, kudos to you for deciding to get a functional watch and reworking it into a Chameleon Arch, rather than getting one of the official merchandise pieces which work as watches but are not nearly as good.)

Also hee - I also have a functional (indeed slightly antique) gilt-case pocketwatch which also only comes out on cosplay occasions because it's what I wear when cosplaying Eight. I'd like to wear it more often, but for that I need to wear waistcoats more often.
