Must share!

Okay, I'm not American and I'm following the campaigns only peripherally.

But one of the blogs I read linked to this: The GOP Primary Field in Buffy Villains.

And OMG! So True!

I urge you all to read it if you're American and/or just a Whedonverse!fan of the Buffy persuasion.

i'm not a Buffy watcher but i am following the elections closely. thanks for the link. i am honestly very nervous about the '08 election. i am nervous about who the GOP will elect and which Democrat will run against them.

I think Huckabee is easily electable for the GOP's but also easily beatable by the Democrats. I think Hillary has a good chance of slaughtering him if they were to go head to head. Huckabee creeps me out and i would NEVER want him to lead this country.... but because he's beatable i wouldnt mind him getting the nomination.

i think Mitt Romney is also a viable candidate but might be harder to defeat. i wouldnt want him to be president either but would be more nervous to see him in the final round.

i think John McCain would be a hard candidate to beat but less likely to get the GOP nomination. i honestly wouldnt mind seeing him as president. i think his whole "bomb iran" crap is disgusting but i think he is the most transparent out of the GOP contenders and would be more willing to trust him with our foreign policy. i think he is knowledgable about what to do with the military and i am not for a swift pullout of troops from Iraq... not because i believe in what we are doing over there, but for the safety of Iraqi civilians... and i think a swift pullout might hurt than more than us staying there.

i love that the democrats have a black and female candidate. i think that speaks volumes about the party, im just afraid of the republicans coming out in droves to stop either one of them from winning. and although i like John Edwards domestic policy, i dont have confidence in him regarding our foreign affairs.

hope that didnt bore you :) i cant wait for the Iowa results!!!! yeeee!!!! this is like my version of the Super Bowl... i wish i could see into the future!

I'm surprised so little's being publically made out of Obama's race and Hilary's gender but am sure it's being talked about a lot in private and still don't believe the country will elect a black man or woman though I hope to be proven wrong. Bush looked pretty vulnerable in 2004 and yet he still won, so I am afraid we'll lose it again in 2008.

haha.. bush winning is debatable ;)
there were rumblings about race and gender in the beginning but i am hoping that the media wasnt giving americans enough credit for moving into the modern century. it would be a shame that our "progressive" society, a "leader" of democracy throughout the world couldnt deal with a *gasp* black or *gasp* female leader. i mean, estonia and germany have female leaders, what's wrong with us?

i think both would be great for different reasons... Obama would show the world that Americans arent racist, plus, he would be a great face for foreign diplomacy and Clinton has the political backing/muscle to get things done, plus, i do believe in her experience and the experience of those around her (not just her hubby). i like her calculating tendencies and that she isn't so quick to pull out of Iraq... i think there is a happy medium to come of our military presence there.

It's sad that when I read your comment I thought about how "The West Wing' was one of the best shows ever.
After Buffy, obviously.
Though that page was a strange blend of the two for me :)

McCain is a homeboy. He's also a POW... I wouldn't complain if he got it.

Huckabee as Caleb was pretty amusing.

Not worth your time and ire.

seems like he was raised by some zionists and is pretty pissed off about it :)

Ha! I was raised by Zionists and I turned out okay :)

As if Zionists can be clumped together as "Racist Ashkenazi Colonialists".
It really is much more complicated than that, I hate this whole Zionist conspiracy bullshit and the fact that the mere existance of Israel is Evil.
I'm sick of that!
