I always like these nonsense... :)

[identity profile] eumelia.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
1. You're my friend in real life and was one of the first to friend you on LJ
2. Cornflak Girl by Tori Amos... because... well, we know why :)
3. You're a veggie who eats sea food and you have beautiful eyes and hair and brain.
4. Nurit's house and a laugh bigger than mine, a rare occurance indeed.
5. A seagull and passion fruit.
6. I dunno... can't think of anything, since what I want to know I know and the rest I'll discover on my own.
7."I believe in peace, bitch" and "chocolate"

[identity profile] tamara-russo.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I must say, I blushed to hear you like my eyes and hair... And about the laugh - yeah, well, the girls in the army said in their parting words from me in my last day that now I can laugh my ass off at home... I love your laugh very much, btw.

1. We met on a Shamanism community and have been on each other's f-lists ever since.
2. You remind me of the movie "Get Shortie" because it's full of twists and turns and unexpected occurances and you're somewhat of a mystery to me :)
3. You're related to a certain someone I admire and aspire to be like :) minus the suicide, I hope.
4. You had wonderful insight to share and I took it to heart.
5. Fox - since, as I've said you're mysterious, but also playful.
6. Where is the best place you ever lived/visited and why?
7. My fave user pic of yours is "Rat"... so cute with the flowers.

[identity profile] hakuzo.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
6) Madison, Wisconsin. It's ethnically diverse, has awesome quality food, is near water, is a liberal collage town, a big city without the attitude, and there's all kinds of neat little shops and things to do. I'd probably move there if it didn't remind me of my X...

[identity profile] kaetien.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 01:24 pm (UTC)(link)
ooh pick me!

[identity profile] eumelia.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
1. We met in [livejournal.com profile] buffyphilosophy and never looked back :)
2. Girl Anachronism by The Dresden Dolls, because you've said do yourself, you don't always fit in with what's in the world right now (I feel we have that in common)
3. You're pagan, you love buffy and you love house... all very, very pleasant facts.
4. I'm not sure, but we talked about Buffy :)
5. Raven - intelligent and literary
6. Did you ever live in somewhere other than Boston and what is your favourite place in Boston? (where you can take me next time I visit ;P)
7. My fave user pic of your is "Everybody Lies - House", Hugh's face there is just... so beautiful

[identity profile] morin.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Now me. Mine is here (http://morin.livejournal.com/133447.html), but you got your answers on 2005.

[identity profile] eumelia.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
As I said no one has to do it if they don't want to :)

1. We've known each other for almost twenty years, so, duh :)
2. Everything by Alanis, because it's the little things that really do matter to you.
3. Gosh, there are so many things, too many in fact, but probably the fact that you really listen and don't judge me even when I'm being extra silly or sensitive about something.
4. Not first (I honestly don't remember), but during the war how you let me vent to you about everything. I won't forget it. Ever.
5. Grasshopper :)
6. No question, what I need to know I do and what I don't you'll let me know in due time.
7. Your default, I love Harley.

1. We're friends in real life, you managed to get me addicted to LJ :)

2. All that we let in by Indigo Girls. Duh :)

3. You're so damn smart you drive me crazy sometimes, you're my harshest literary critic and that's really cool.

4. High School, philosophical talks... it went on from there.

5. Hedgehog - you're little, cute, prickly and in certain positions so soft you can really cuddle and handled with caution you are one of the sweetest things ever *hug*

6. I've said this to a few other people, and you're one of the people that I know much about and if there was something I needed or wanted to know I'd discover it on my own time or when you told me.

7. The Phoenix Eye icon (Jean Grey... awesome)

2. My Way - As sung by Gary Oldman :)

3. I love your piercings, I enjoy your poetry and your vague LJ posts are fun to try and decipher. Oh, and you're just really cool in general :)

4. Nothing specific, but I had a great time sleeping over that time, we shall do it again sometime.

5. נחליאלי

6. No question. What I want to know I'll discover in due time.

Validate me.

[identity profile] eumelia.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
1. I have a sticker from the Israeli Buffy fan club which says "Buffy. Connecting people". [livejournal.com profile] buffyphilosophy put us together and it evolved all on its own.

2. Sarah Fimm - Bombay Cafe

3. I really like your hair. And your general laissez faire attitude. It's really amusing in your entries.

4. "V for Vendetta" about 9 dollars. Sushi the next day about twenty to thirty dollars. Spending the evening and day together, really, really priceless and looking forward to next time.

5. A tom cat.

6. Are you out to your family about your liberal philosophy and sexuality?

7. I really can't choose because they're all so very nice.

[identity profile] morin.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I second #7 - the Icons are very cool.

[identity profile] aesiron.livejournal.com 2007-02-02 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks.

[identity profile] aesiron.livejournal.com 2007-02-02 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
My hair then or now? Girls always seem to love my hair.

I've been open about my liberal politics since I was about 15 or so and about my atheism since about age sixteen or seventeen. I hid my bisexuality for a bit longer since it was something I wasn't entirely certain about myself but came out at almost 22 and was thrown out of home for that and a few other things. That's actually what led to my living in Oregon and my ultimately being able to meet you when I lost my job there.

And since I probably won't do this in my own journal but want to reciprocate:

1) I'm the one that initially friended you but honestly can't remember the specific circumstances although I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was due to some lenghty dissertation. Or, just as likely, because you had a shiny icon. :p

2) a. Not Ready to Make Nice - Dixie Chicks
    b. I'd Start a Revolution - Aimee Allen
    c. Rockin' in the Free World - K's Choice and Indigo Girls

Movie: V for Vendetta, obviously.

3) I am as amused by your passion as you are by my laissez faire attitude. It's just so cute and makes me want to hug you.

4) I remember months before we even thought we might meet, I called you and left you a voicemail but told you that if you answered, I'd hang up 'cause I'd be too nervous to talk to you. Also, the day after we met, you called to see if I might stay a day longer to hang out with you some more and I was having so much difficulty understanding you that I had [livejournal.com profile] tangerine42, who you had never talked to before, be my interpreter.

5) A dolphin.

6) Do you have any concrete plans for your future?

7) Image

We haven't been friends for very long, but... what the hell.

[identity profile] eumelia.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
'Tis true but I'll give it a shot.

1. We met via [Unknown site tag], have much in common and decided to friend each other.

2. I'm afraid I haven't known you for long enough, but in a few months I'll know what to give you :)

3. You were in Kenya. Uber-cool. It's one of the countries I really want to visit sometime in the future.

4. You read "Cunt" and we talked about it.

5. see #2, though according to your user pics chameleon and pineapple seem to fit :)

6. What exactly did you do in Kenya? (haven't gotten round to reading backwards in your journal).

7. The one with your sexy legs :)

[identity profile] stateofwonder.livejournal.com 2007-02-02 07:40 am (UTC)(link)
Ooh la la ;)

Well, I was in Kenya twice.. first in 2005 for a field school, where I travelled around with some professors and a bunch of spoiled rich kids. It was a somewhat frustrating experience (since it was with the university so we always had to be 'safe' and were somewhat sheltered), but it allowed me to make connections that I'd never be able to make otherwise (like meeting my now-boyfriend), and it was a real eye-opener in a lot of ways.

In 2006 I applied for an internship with an indigenous rights organization, Indigenous Information Network. I went back to Kenya in the summer to work for them, and it was pretty much the best experience I could have asked for. The organization was working to empower people who were marginalized first by colonizal forces and then by the independent government. They often had limited access to education, health care and had many issues with land and cultural rights (similar to some of the struggles that indigenous peoples face here in Canada). I was able to do a lot of close work with grassroots organizations and experience really rural, traditional lifestyles. I did a lot of writing for the organization's magazine, wrote a lot of funding proposals and did a lot of community work, and did work with bigwigs like the UN and Oxfam. Plus I hooked up with my boy and had a hell of a good time in the city.

Whoa! I'm curious to see what you have to say. I'll admit that I was simply captivated by your wonderful icon at first glance. :)

[identity profile] eumelia.livejournal.com 2007-02-03 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
A little difficult since we just met, but I'll try.

1) I wanted to be kept updated on your fic
2) #1 Crush by Garbage
3) Your writing is excellent and you have excellent geek taste in men
4) I actually knew about you years ago, because I had read "Dragon's Tale" on the TS list and when you stopped and I thought, "Oh, no, another fic writer gone". I was very happy to see reappear.
5) Dragon :)
6) I dunno, I need to get to know you a little bit better
7) All your Chris Meloni icons are yummy :)

[identity profile] cziganybriella.livejournal.com 2007-02-02 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Bitch'n! You don't know me very well and that will make this way more fun! So now I get to use my favourite response to everyone's journal:

Do me! Do me! Me next!

[identity profile] eumelia.livejournal.com 2007-02-03 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
1. We met on a [livejournal.com profile] herbaldness, thought you were cool and decided to get to know you better.

2. Everything for Free by K's Choice

3. You shave your head and study linguistics

4. We had a great discussion about the lack of hair.

5. Peach

6. I think just reading your LJ is enough, because if you write something where I feel I'd like to know more and a situation arises where I ask you something it'll just happen.

7. Your default. The sexy back and nice juicy ass... very nice :)

[identity profile] wisetara.livejournal.com 2007-02-04 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
Do you even REMEMBER why you friended me?? :-)
