Turnout does seem to be high (http://haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1062921.html), though I suspect most aren't heeding your call to vote for a party rather than against others.

As for your subject line, it has certain associations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It's_Raining,_It's_Pouring) that make me wonder which of the many old men in this election are potentially snoring, and what their fates will be.

LOL... with only 60-something % of those eligible to vote actually coming out... it would appear that quite a few remained at home to snore.

I wish that I had the guts to vote what I believed in and not against Bibi, but I just couldn't bare to vote for anyone but Livni and then see Bibi win. I figured that if I at least voted for Livni, then when Bibi won I'd have at least tried to keep him out.

That's American logic, though, I realize. Israeli logic would have been that putting more votes in for a group I actually believe in would put more pressure on the efforts to create a coalition and to actually do something rational.

*sigh*

I'm just a baby-Israeli. I'm learning

I was considering doing so, voting against, that is.

But I feel that one needs a little positivity in these things, just for a bit of balance :)

YES!

CORRECT!

Hadash gained a seat, apparently?

So it would appear.
There are still a few more votes to be counted, but it looks like Hadash did indeed gain a seat.
