שרת החוץ שלנו, "רומזת" שייתכן ולא יהיה הסכם עם הפלשתינים במהלך 2008. חוץ מתוספת המרכאות זוהי הכותרת של הידיעה שהופיעה ב"הארץ" לפני מספר דקות.
מישהו בכלל העלה בדעתו (או דעתה) שיהיה בכלל סיכוי קלוש להסכם עד סוף השנה הזו?
עם ההסגר, המצור, חוסר התקשורת בין הפלגים הפלשתינים ובניית ההתנחלויות והמאחזים בגדה. הייתה כאן בכלל תקווה קלושה, שגם אם היה לאבו-מאזן איזשהו כח פוליטי, היה יוצא מזה משהו? שכן, הוא בכיס הקטן של ישראל שנמצאת בכיס הקטן של ארה"ב, לעשר השנים הבאות לפחות. ישראל, שלא שמה את קצה זקפתה הלאומית על תושבי שדרות וקיבוצי עוטף עזה, לא מתעניינת בכלל בפלשתינים כי, אוי ואבוי, איראן מאיימת עלינו, באטום! אטום שהם יפתחו בעוד עשור, חמש שנים, בשנה הבאה! רחמנא לצלן.
לא משנה שלארה"ב יש אינטרס כלכלי מובהק באיראן (ומשתמש בישראל בתור כלי הנשק האולטימטיבי נגד, טוב, כל מי שהם רוצים), לאחר שהם איבדו את המדינה לאחר המהפכה האיסלאמית (וכמובן את כל שדות הנפט הנפלאות שלה, שהן מולאמות ולא ניתן להשקיע בהן בשוק החופשי, סנקציות או לא).
כמובן שלא יהיה הסכם, לא עכשיו ולא בעוד שנה וכנראה שגם לא בעוד שנתיים (אני אשלם כסף למי יתערב איתי להפך וינצח) כיוון שאין לישראל שום אינטרס לשנות את הסטטוס קוו - אז יש טילים בשדרות, אז מה? זה מחסן את האזרחים והם מופת למדינת ישראל.
למי אכפת מכמה ערבושים ששוחים בביוב, הם גם ככה מחבלים לעתיד, מה צריך הסכם איתם! גלעד שליט? כן, כן נשמע מוכר... גם אהוד גולדווסר ואלדד רגב, הם בחו"ל לא?
מלחמת לבנון לא הייתה מבצע אנטבה 2 כפי שחלוץ, אולמרט ואולי גם פרץ קיוו לה. וגלעד שליט ימשיך להיות רון ארד 2 עוד קצת.
הסכם עם הפלשתינים, עאלק! טוב שהשרה לבני יצאה בקצת גילוי נאות... ברמיזות ובניחושים, אבל בחייכם... זה היה ברור כבר מאנאפוליס, לא?

Israel should aspire to peace but you're against peace talks?
Iran is allowed to threaten Israel but Israel should ignore those threats?
Hamas may continue to attack Israel but Israel should not respond?
You seem to think that Olmert cheers every time a rocket hits Sderot. I may not like the guy, but be serious!
It seems that you think that you only need one to tango...

I'll touch on your points in the order that you wrote them.
Israel should aspire to peace, but who are we talking to? Does Abu-Mazen have any kind of influence over his slice of gov that can't be toppled by the corruption that no doubt has seeped into its roots. And what is the West Bank without Gaza, we're going to have "peace" with the Good Fatah while continuisly fight with Bad Hamas?
If I'm not mistaken, before Lebanon II I don't remember hearing anything about Iran other than it being an enemy country. Suddenly with Winograd in the background we're hearing that their reaching nuclear capacity within eighteen months, the mark passed and they said three years. I'd trust these threats a whole lot more if it wasn't, at this point, insane rhetoric from Ahmadeinijad and the intel media releases would have something a little bit better to say other than: "He may have an A-Bomb! He's threatening us! Let's create public panic!" etc.
Well, seeing that the IDF's response to Hamas' attacks haven't actually stopped said attacks, perhaps a change of tactics on our part is required hmmm... a little assistance to the abandoned citizens of the south west Negev would be nice no? Add to that that the siege hasn't actually done what it was supposed to do (i.e. create such despair that Hamas will surrender) but in fact the opposite (i.e. we have nothing to lose, let's take as many Israelis with us as possible).
I think Olmert is more concerned with hiding his corruption and keeping his coalition in tact rather than deal with the messy עיירות פיתוח that are being attacked on a daily basis. I don't think he cheers, but I think he cares a hell of a lot less than is humane.

The point when Iran starting being threat #1 was after the second Gulf War. Till then Iraq was threat #1.
It seems legitimate to me that after Iraq was liberated by America and no longer threatened Israel that some other country would come in as enemy #1.
As for the "mark", it has never passed. The predictions for a nuclear-able Iran have never "come and gone".
The fact that someone is paranoid does NOT mean that noone is out to get them.
I agree with paragraph #4 (change of tactics).
