Why does my birthday have to be in May!!!

I want this - it's a Denise interchangeable knitting needle kit.
And I want one of these - it's a French Press. Don't really care which.
And a coffee grinder.

Oh, Crikey I'm sick of the instant! So effing sick of it. And I'm just no capable of cooking the coffee on the stove and have it with sugar(!!!) every time.

And I want my fucking FAIR TRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!

*ahem* So obviously, the coffee stuff is a bit more crucial for me. But not to worry, I have another nine months to nag my family about getting me all those things.

Okay, not really, it's not that big a deal, but I really, really want these things.

In addition, the genocide in Darfur must be stopped.

וכמו כן, צריך לעצור את רצח העם בדרפור.

I drink coffee in a French Press (we call it a coffee plunger in Australia!) every day, and it's delicious and smooth. The cheapest place to get one is a catering supply shop, if there's one near you - the less famous brands at caterings shops are usually pretty tough and long-lasting, too.

You could use the paper filters they sell in shops- my father used one for year before he got an electric makineta, and he can be very finiky about his coffee.

I've been to - what, five home stores in the last week? All of them have plungers. As the stores i've been to are Golf-Kittan and upwards from that, you'll probably be able to get a just-as-good cheaper one at any large supermarket. (Bodum are good, but they can cost twice as much as the others; Bodum is what I saw at most shops.)

And Ilan's claim all their coffee is fair trade, and they don't cost much more than the regular stuff. (~120NIS/kg if I remember correctly - this is what everything is priced, from Illy's through Aroma to Ilan's.)
