Because I was raised hippy, as well as feminist, and was a teenager in the 80s, I actually deliberately had hair on my legs during highschool, which means that nothing anyone says about it now will ever be as mean or nasty as what people said about it then.
These days I shave my pits about once a week, and my legs whenever I feel like it, which seems to be about once a month in summer, and not at all in winter.
I think it can be really interesting for women to discover how their body hair grows, rather than just reactively remiving it.
