Actually, she had me at 'As far as I'm concerned, you've got to earn that title'. And marvelling at the moon, and generally being confident and effective even in the situation she knows nothing about. The writers did some poor job with her development in the middle of the season, and they even admit that her crush on the Doctor was some very bad idea, but in the end, she did save the world basically all by herself, and she's brilliant.
